James "Jim" M. Rogers, Jr. Owner, Licensed Funeral Director, Embalmer & Insurance Agent

Jim is the third generation owner of Rogers Funeral Home.  He follows in the footsteps of his grandfather, J. B. Rogers and his father, J. Marvin Rogers.  He and his wife, Teresa, have three children, Meegan R. Burton, Ben and Adam Rogers.  They have two grandchildren, Bo and Katie Burton.  He is an active member of Holly Avenue United Methodist Church in South Pittsburg and the South Pittsburg Rotary Club.

 

He received his education at South Pittsburg High School and the University of Minnesota.  Upon graduation from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Mortuary Science, he returned home to work full time with his father at the funeral home.

 

Jim is a fully licensed and experienced Funeral Director, Embalmer and pre-need funeral insurance agent.  As the third generation in the Rogers family to provide services to the families of the Sequatchie Valley, he continues the tradition of providing the highest quality services with the utmost dignity, honesty and integrity to every family he serves.

Meegan Rogers Burton Manager, Licensed Funeral Director, Embalmer & Insurance Agent

 Meegan is the fourth generation of the Rogers family to serve the families of Marion County at Rogers Funeral Home.  She and her husband, Gil have two children, Robert "Bo" and Katie Burton.  She is an active member of the First Baptist Church in South Pittsburg and the Judge David Campbell Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

 

She graduated from South Pittsburg High School and went on to study at Auburn University and received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.  Upon graduation she came to work full time with her father at the funeral home.

 

Meegan is fully licensed to provide services as a Funeral Director and Embalmer as well as pre-planned funeral insurance policies.  She continues the tradition started by her great-grandfather, Mr. Burr Rogers - the highest quality services provided with the utmost dignity, honesty and integrity for every family she serves.

Rev. Joe Moore Non-Licensed Support Staff

Joe is a life-long resident of South Pittsburg and the minister at Wesley United Methodist Church.  He works with us as a support staff member during visitations and funerals.

Teresa grew up in Guild, TN, the daughter of Paul and Nellie Brown.  She and her husband (our owner) Jim Rogers, have three children, Meegan R. Burton, Ben and Adam Rogers.  They have two grandchildren, Bo and Katie Burton.  She is an active member of Holly Avenue United Methodist Church in South Pittsburg.  

 

Teresa supports our office staff, manages our aftercare program and produces the Video Tribute Slideshows that families use during visitation times.
