Alfred Ellison Nabors, 84, of New Hope, TN, passed away early Saturday, October 3, 2020 at his home surrounded by loved ones.  He fought a long battle with cancer but was ready to be home with his Lord and loved ones.

He was a loving husband, father, brother papaw and great papaw.

He was born in Hollywood Alabama on July 2, 1936.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Sarah E. Nabors,; daughter, Debbie King; grandson, Kevin Scott King; father, Arthur "Hop" Nabors; mother, Ruby Talley Smith; brothers, James, Floyd, and Marion Lee Nabors; sisters, Lois Gossett and Syble Byram.

Survivors include his daughter, Denise Blevins, son-in-law, Lamar Blevins; grandson, Brad Blevins, of Washington, D.C.; granddaughter, Beth (Jimmy) McGullion, grandson, Blake King; great grandchildren whom he talked about all the time, Jake and Jackson McGullion and Braxtin Blevins.

He dedicated his life to his family whom he loved deeply, and they loved him deeply.

He owned and operated Al's Carryout Café in New Hope TN for many years where he made homemade pizzas from scratch (his own recipes) everyone still talks about them to this day.

He retired from Container Corporation CCA of America. Then went on to work at Kenco Logistics just for spending money.

He will be greatly missed.  We love you Dad – Papaw until we meet again.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. (CST) at New Hope Cemetery, in New Hope, TN with Reverend Wayne Winters officiating.

There will be no public visitation due to covid.

Everyone is welcome to attend the graveside service.
