Alfreda Green, 38, formerly of South Pittsburg, Tennessee died Friday, December 29, 2017 in a Knoxville hospital.

A graduate of South Pittsburg High School, she grew up attending Mt. Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church.

"Freda" loved to shop, especially at flea markets. She also loved to eat and collect all sorts of stuff. She never met a stranger.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Corene Pryor, grandmother, Mable Green, grandfather, Leroy Johnson, and aunt, Kathy Cunningham.

She is survived by her mother, Sylvia Green; sisters, Artelia Green and Ashley Green, all of South Pittsburg, Tennessee; nieces and nephews, Morgan Aker, Samaria Aker, Israel Moore, Elias Hampton, Jabari Mitchell, and Jamal Mitchell; aunts and uncles, Ida Green, of South Pittsburg, Thomas (Petra) Green, of Chattanooga, Rosalind Green and Yewanna Green, both of South Pittsburg; and special cousins, Tyrone Green and Tonna Green.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. Central time at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg. Interment will follow at Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball, Tennessee.

The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until service time.
