Alice Scharer Rollins, 82, of South Pittsburg, TN died Saturday, April 2, 2011 in a Dunlap Nursing Home.

The daughter of the late Charles and Ruby Payne Scharer, she was a member of Neighborhood Flower Club and First Baptist Church in South Pittsburg. She was a loving and devoted mother, who spent her spare time cooking and sewing. She was preceded in death by her husband, O. E. "Doc" Rollins and brothers, Charles and Jere Scharer.

She is survived by four sons, O. Edmond (Teresa) Rollins, Jr. of Pulaski, TN, Charles William (Gloria) Rollins of Dunlap, TN, Jody F. Rollins of South Pittsburg, Bruce (Terri) Rollins of Soddy Daisy, TN; daughter, Karen R. (Randy) Moss of South Pittsburg; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; "special daughter," Connie McClain (Jeff) Taylor of South Pittsburg; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 2pm Central time with Reverend Fred Steelman officiating. Interment will be in Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 4, 2011 from 4-8 pm Central time at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg, TN.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Hospice of Chattanooga for the wonderful care they provided to Mrs. Rollins during her recent illness.
