Allie Mae Denney Wilkey, 81, of South Pittsburg, TN died Monday, March 30, 2009 in a local nursing home.
The daughter of the late William Edward and Edith Pearl Crowe Denney, she was of the Baptist faith and was an active resident at Rivermont Nursing Home. She particularly enjoyed the activities and field trips there. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Lee Wilkey and sister, Thelma Louise Denney.
She is survived by her brothers, William Edward Denney, Jr. and Johnnie Denney both of South Pittsburg; nieces and nephews, William E. Denney, III of Bridgeport, AL, Pam Kirk of Virginia, Janet Byram of Jasper, TN, Thomas Denney of Kimball, TN and Kevin Daniel Denney and Angela Michelle Richmond both of Monteagle, TN; several great-nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
Funeral services will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at 2 PM CDT with Reverend Ronnie Case officiating. Interment will be in Tate Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday from 5-9 PM CDT at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.
