Anna Jane Layne, of Sequatchie, TN, passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022.

God gives every person a gift and he gave Anna the gift of comforting others.

Everyone that knew her loved her and she will be missed by many.

Anna worked in the funeral home business for over 30 years before retiring.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leura Dawson Roberts and Isaac Roberts; husband, Thomas Willard Layne; siblings, Lila, J.C. Opal, Hoyt, Quay, Betty, A.C. and Jack.

Survivors include her two children, daughter, Donna (Donnie) Smith, son, Eddie (Julia) Layne; grandchildren, Daniel (Chelsie) Smith, Brandon Layne, Stephanie Layne, Jennifer (Ned) Dannenberg, Amanda (Bart) England; six great grandchildren, Aiden, Eli, Veda, Riley, Asher, Emma; sister, Sue Foshee; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. (CST) at Pine Grove Cemetery in Jasper, TN. with Rev. Darrell Beck officiating.

There will be no public visitation.
