Barbara Jean Stewart Bradford, 70, of South Pittsburg, TN died unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 in a local hospital.

The daughter of the late James Luther and Josie Mae Kirk Stewart, she was a teaching assistant in the Marion County School System for 30 years, retiring in 2010. She also managed the Kimball Skating Rink for over 20 years and was a member of Battle Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest Bradford of South Pittsburg; daughters, Donna (Gene Gregory) Bradford of Winston-Salem, NC and Brenda (Kevin) Durham of Whitwell, TN; granddaughters, Cheyenne and LeAnn Durham both of Whitwell; sister, Ellen Jones of Bridgeport, AL; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012 at 1:00pm Central in the Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg, with Rev. Jeff Nelson officiating. Interment will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5-9 pm Central time.
