Bertie Payne Henderson, 92, of South Pittsburg, died Monday, April 23, 2007 in a local health care facility.She was a lifelong resident of Marion County, the daughter of the late Lemuel Jackson and Julia Coppinger Payne and a member of Kimball Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Henderson and two sons, Porter Henderson and Bobby Royce Henderson.She is survived by six grandchildren, Woodrow M. Henderson, Knoxville, Porter W. Henderson, Bangkok, Thailand, Travis H. Henderson, Chattanooga, Gregory H. Henderson, Lafayette, TN, Lori H. Brockman, Little Rock, Arkansas, James R. Henderson, Lexington, TN and daughter-in-law, Kay H. Henderson, Lexington, TN; twelve great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be conducted from the Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg, Wednesday, April 25 at 3 PM CDT with Ministers Billy Watkins and Virgil Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from 2 PM until service time at 3 PM, Wednesday, April 25 at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.
