Betty Sue Currey Colvin, 90, of Muscle Shoals, AL, died Monday, March 20, 2017.

The daughter of the late Septumus & Texas Blackeye Currey, she was a native of Flintville, Lincoln County, Tennessee. She was a former resident of South Pittsburg, TN, and worked for the Tri-City Clinic for several years. She had also been a resident of Muscle Shoals, Alabama for 26 years, where she had been a member of the Woodward Avenue Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Earl Colvin, Sr.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Colvin Clepper (Mike Stumpe) of Muscle Shoals, AL; son, Charles E. Colvin, Jr. of South Pittsburg, TN; grandson, David (Lori) Clepper of Molena, GA; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Sawyer-Ann & Drake Clepper; granddaughters, Tisha Colvin of Jasper, TN and Niki Colvin of Bridgeport, AL; sisters, Sarah (Harry) Gupton of Social Circle, GA and Linda Dale of Myrtle Beach, SC; several nieces and nephews.

A family graveside service will be held at Hamilton Memorial Gardens at 2:00pm Eastern time (1pm Central) on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, with Dr Tom Whatley officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Woodward Avenue Baptist Church, 801 Woodward Ave, Muscle Shoals, AL 35661.
