Betty Ruth Samples Muir, 81, of South Pittsburg, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2022.

She was a member of Midway Baptist Church in South Pittsburg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, B.C. Muir, her parents, Bertha Mae Phipps and John Samples; brothers, Charles Samples and Billy Samples.

Betty is survived by daughters; Barbara Muir and Pam (Stan) Miller, sons; Brock Muir and Jeff (Sheryl) Muir, sister; Lucille Muir and Ruby Hughes, daughter-in-law Linda Beardsley, six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. (CST) in the chapel of Rogers Funeral Home of South Pittsburg with Pastor Jim Richardson.

Interment will follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (CST) and on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. (CST) at Rogers Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Tim Shipley, Rickey Taylor, Kermit Grissom, Jim Muir, Jake Ambrester and Michael Jordan.
