Betty Jo Simmons, 77, of South Pittsburg, TN went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 11, 2009.
Daughter of the late Mason Agee and Maggie Thurman Parham, she was a former employee of Yarncrafters in Chattanooga and was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald "Shorty" Simmons.
She is survived by her daughters, Susie Seadorf of Jasper, TN and Jan Hurst of South Pittsburg, TN; grandsons, Adam Seadorf and Brian Seadorf, both of Murfreesboro, TN; great-grandson, Beckett Hughes Seadorf, and three brothers, Joel Parham of Englewood, TN, Eddie Parham of Chattanooga, Curtis Parham of Knoxville, TN; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be Friday November 13th from 5-9PM at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg. Funeral services will be on Saturday at 2pm at the South Pittsburg chapel of Rogers Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. John Smith. Interment will follow in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper.
