Betty Jane Smith Cooper Hatfield, 63, of Kimball, TN, died Monday, June 5, 2017.

A 1972 graduate of South Pittsburg High School, she was an employee of Chattem in Chattanooga, a member of Grace Baptist Church and also attended Long Island Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing and her children and grandchildren were her joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, JW Smith and Bill & Virginia Lee; brother, Billy Edward "Man" Smith; and her loving companion, Jeff Christy.

She is survived by her children, Brent (Chasity) Cooper, Mandy Cooper (Paul Parker), all of Trenton, GA; three grandchildren, Cooper McGarey, Javen and Cayden Cooper; sisters, Emma Smith (Jack) Price, of Signal Mtn, TN, Ruby Smith (Tommy) Poe, of Jasper, TN and Jenny Lee (LeBron) Curd, of Kimball, TN; brother, Jimmy Norman Smith, Aunt, Imogene Troxell, Father of her children, Roger Cooper, ex-husband, Lance Hatfield; nieces and nephews, Kevin Curd, Jason Price, Tyler Price, Jeff Poe, Todd Smith and Tiffany S. Talley; several great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, June 8, 2017 from 4-8 PM at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.

Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 11:00 AM Central time with Rev. Ronnie Case and Rev. David Smith, officiating. Interment will be in Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball, TN.
