Betty Jane Couch Wells, 78, of South Pittsburg, TN died Thursday, November 22, 2012.

The daughter of the late Frank G. and Janie Rymer Couch, she was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, South Pittsburg, had worked as a nurse at South Pittsburg Hospital for 18 years and was a loving mother for 58 years.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, James Ruben, William S. and Frank G. Couch.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Ricky) Smith of South Pittsburg; sons, Gary (Tena) Wells of Woodbridge, VA, Ronnie (Kathy) Wells of South Pittsburg and Phillip (Tina) Wells of Chattanooga; sister, Evelyn Snell of Flagstaff, AZ; sister-in-law, Barbara Couch; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home at 10 am Central time on Monday, November 26, 2012. Interment will follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday from 9 am until service time at the funeral home.
