Bettye McClain Obit

Bettye Wilkinson McClain, 85, of South Pittsburg, Tennessee went to her heavenly home on February 22, 2021.  Bettye retired from Penn Dixie Cement Plant in Richard City, Tennessee, and was an avid fan of the South Pittsburg Pirates and the Tennessee Volunteer football teams.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wells Wilkinson, mother Leona Machen Wilkinson and her husband Donald C. McClain.

Bettye is survived by her son, Bill McClain; granddaughter, Whitney McClain, brother, William (Marilyn) Wilkinson and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg, Tennessee.

A graveside service will follow at Cumberland View Cemetery at 11:30 a.m.  Wednesday February 24, 2021, with Reverend Joe Moore officiating.

Pallbearers are Blake Turner, Timmy Davenport, Alex Collier, Eddie Moore, P.D.Machen and Don Bird.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the South Pittsburg Pirates Varsity Cheerleaders.
