Mrs. Beulah Viola Howard Baker, of Jasper, TN, 91, died at her home on Monday, February 20, 2012. Born into a family of ten children to the late James Thomas and Annie Graham Howard, Mrs. Baker had worked for both Bill Simpson's Store and Tokheim and was a member of First Baptist Church in Jasper. She was also preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda & Roy McClain; son, Wayne D. Baker; son-in-law, M. R. "Bemo" Bowen; sisters, Ethel Mae Solomon and Bonnie Haggard; brothers, Van Howard, Joe Howard, Grady Howard, Woodrow Howard and Richard Howard and "special daughter," Joy Guffey. She is survived by her husband, William R. Baker; daughter, Ann (Butch) Vores of Mead, OK; Son, Bill (Paula) Baker, Jr., of Knoxville, TN; daughter-in-law, Judy Baker; grandchildren, Barry (Patti) Henderson, Valorie King, Stacey (Ralph) Kennedy, Sherry (Jim) Hargis, Tammy (Barry) Brooks, Kelley (Danny) Rutledge and Jennifer (Joe) Pace; 11 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Ed Howard of Columbus, GA; several nieces and nephews including, Jerry Nelson and Dale Howard. Funeral services will be conducted from the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 1:00 PM Central time with Rev. David Grisham officiating. Interment will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 21st from 6-9pm Central time.
