Beverly Jacobs Steele, 85, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 with family by her side.

Beverly was born in Monongahela, Pennsylvania on March 11, 1937.  She moved to South Pittsburg, TN with her family at the age of 13. Beverly graduated from South Pittsburg High School and attended Middle Tennessee State University.

Beverly was a member of South Pittsburg Church of God and attended Grace Baptist Church.

She retired from a career in banking in 1994 and was an Emeritus member of the Marion County Children's Fund Committee.

She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Edith Jacobs; and her husband of 64 years, Jack L. Steele.

Beverly is survived by her daughters, Debbie (John) Matthews and Amy Steele Pickett; grandchildren, Lynsi (Dan) Hatef; Tres Matthews; Amanda (Nick Sisco) Peoples; and Cassidy Pickett; great grandsons, Levi, Wylder, and Valor; brother, Barth (Joan) Jacobs; sister, Gaynelle Jacobs Grider and several nieces and nephews.

The legacy that Beverly leaves to those who call her Mom, Nana, Aunt Bae, and friend is one of love, service and a strong faith in her Savior, Jesus Christ. The words that describe her best are: true believer, dedicated wife, sweet mother, loving grandmother, wonderful sister, lovely lady, precious friend, mentor, encourager and prayer warrior. She always exhibited a spirit of grace and gratitude until the very end of her life. She will be sorely missed.

Visitation will be held in South Pittsburg, at Rogers Funeral Home on Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. (CST) prior to the funeral service in the chapel.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. (CST) Saturday, July 16, 2022 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bruce Howland officiating.

Burial will be at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, TN.
