Bill Hartman, 89, of South Pittsburg, TN died Sunday, September 4, 2016 in a local nursing home.

The son of the late William and Alma Stahnke Hartman, he was a US Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II and an active member of Living Water Lutheran Church. He retired from the Milwaukee Journal after over 40 years with the company. He and Carol retired to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas in 1988, where they lived until they moved to South Pittsburg, Tennessee to live with their daughter during the last months of his life.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Carol Hartman of South Pittsburg, TN; children, Lawrence (Carol) Hartman of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, Lynn (Gary) Bryant of Eagle Harbor, Michigan, Mary (Charles) Snyder of South Pittsburg, TN, Jean (Steven) Bentz of White Lake, Wisconsin and Karen (Todd) Kiefer of Brookfield, Wisconsin; twelve grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield, Wisconsin at 12:00 Noon on Friday, September 9, 2016 with visitation one hour prior to the service in the cemetery chapel.
