Mrs. Billie Jo Paris, age 86, of Jasper, Tennessee, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.

Billie Jo was born on March 6, 1940, to Charlie Richard Walker and Minnie Lee Walker. She was a faithful member of the Jasper Church of Christ, where she looked forward to Sunday worship and fellowship with the church’s Single Mingle group.

Billie Jo faithfully trusted in God and lived her life according to His Word. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and one of her greatest joys was spending time with her family. Her children and grandchildren would often hear her say, again and again, “I wouldn’t take a million for you.” She had a special way of making everyone around her feel so loved.

Her home was her sanctuary, and she took great pride in keeping it beautiful. She was content at home and especially enjoyed spending time outdoors in her yard, gardening, planting flowers, and watching the birds bathe in her birdbath. Even when her health and mobility began to decline, she would sometimes sneak outside without assistance and get caught by her children. To Billie Jo, enjoying God’s beautiful outdoors was always worth the risk.

She was also a talented seamstress who could sew almost anything, from a tailored men’s suit to a beautiful wedding gown.

Billie Jo treasured the things that mattered most in life—God, family, and love. Her family is thankful to God for blessing them with such a wonderful mother and grandmother. As she often said to her loved ones, “I wouldn’t take a million for you,” and in return, her family will always say, “We wouldn’t take a million for her.”

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Leroy Paris; her parents, Charlie Richard Walker and Minnie Lee Walker; brothers, Charles Franklin Walker, James Walker, Amos Walker, Ed Walker, Charles “Sonny” Walker, Clinton Walker, and Bill Walker; and sisters, Gladious Brewer and Margaret Ann Walker.

Those left to cherish her memory include her two daughters, Pamela (Ricky) Gott and Patricia (Gregory) White; son, Gregory (Anita) Paris; six grandchildren, Brennon Paris, Brittany Paris, Adam Gott, Jacob Gott, Gregory White II, and Jessica White; great-grandsons, Braxton Paris and Eyan Paris; sister, Mary Ellen Smith; and many special nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. (CDT) in the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home with Bruce Leonard, Minister officiating.

Mrs. Paris will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Leroy Paris, at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, Tennessee.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. (CDT) at the Jasper Chapel prior to the chapel service.

Pallbearers will be Adam Gott, Jacob Gott, Darrell Brewer, Brennon Paris, Gregory White II, and David Brewer.

Billie Jo’s love for God, her family, and the simple beauty of life will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
