William Terry "Billy" Smith, Jr., 47, of Trenton, Georgia, died Wednesday, October 2, 2019 in a local hospital.

He was a 1991 graduate and former football player for South Pittsburg High School and had worked for over 20 years with Royce Case Concrete. Billy was a very outgoing person who was loved by everyone and could fill a room with his contagious laughter. He loved playing and watching sports and was a passionate Tennessee Volunteers fan.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry & Katherine Case and David Smith.

He is survived by his father, Terry Smith, Sr. of South Pittsburg, Tennessee; mother, Donna (Kevin) Chapman of Salisbury, North Carolina; wife, Christy Smith of Trenton, Georgia; son, Chandler Smith; brothers, Labron (Stacy) Smith, Chris Smith (Tiffany Jordan), David (Elizabeth) Muir, and Dakota Smith, all of South Pittsburg; sister, Heather Smith, of South Pittsburg; grandmother, Mary Westmoreland; special uncle, Royce Case and several dear aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, October 3rd from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. Central time and on Friday, October 4th from 11:00 a.m. until service time.

Funeral services will be held at the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Friday, October 4, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Central time with Bro. Ronnie Case and Bro. Sherman Lackey officiating. Interment will be at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, Tennessee.
