Bobby Garland Lofty, 80, of South Pittsburg, TN died Friday, April 9, 2010 in a Chattanooga hospital.
The son of the late John Wesley and Odell Garland Lofty, he was an Eagle Scout and a farmer most of his life. He was a member of Kimball Church of Christ and was the long-time owner of Lofty Construction. He was preceded in death by his brother, Don Lofty and sister, Mary Sells.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Boyd Lofty of South Pittsburg; children, Steve & Vicki Lofty of Whitwell, Jim and Jackie Lofty of Kimball, TN, John & Jody Lofty of South Pittsburg, Sue & Scott Hawkins of South Pittsburg; brother, Richard Lofty of Birmingham, AL; sisters, Ann Bible of South Pittsburg and Rose Payne of Kimball; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10am Central time on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at Kimball Church of Christ with Billy Watkins officiating. Interment will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 12, 2010 from 5pm - 9pm Central time at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.
