Bobby Joe McCampbell, 70, passed away at his home in Townsend, TN, on November 26, 2012 after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

Born in South Pittsburg, TN on November 15, 1942, he graduated from South Pittsburg High School and went on to graduate from Tennessee Tech University with a degree in Business Administration. He began his work career with Kroger in Knoxville, later moving to a career in sales in Anniston, AL, where he became a member of the Gladeview Baptist Church. He retired ten years ago and moved back to the mountains. Bobby will be remembered for his gentle nature and wonderful sense of humor.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joe R. McCampbell and two nephews, Adam and Andrew Hughes.

Survivors include his mother, Lucille W. McCampbell; sister and brother-in-law, Linda M. and J. Russell Smith; niece, Lora S. (Frank) Graham and great-nephew, Damien Hughes.

The family will receive friends at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg on Thursday, November 29, 2012 from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Graveside services will follow at 1:15pm at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
