Mr. Bobby Dean Skyles, 58, of South Pittsburg, TN died unexpectedly on Monday, November 1, 2010 in a local hospital.

The son of the late J.W. and Velma Nelson Skyles, he was the Vice-President of Operations at Sequatchee Valley Electric Cooperative in South Pittsburg. He had been a member of the Lions Club, the Richard Hardy Memorial School Board and had served on the National Cornbread Festival Committee. He was also the Chairman of the South Pittsburg Senior Housing Board and was a South Pittsburg City Commissioner for 12 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Billy Skyles.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Blizard Skyles of South Pittsburg; daughter and son-in-law, Angie S. and Aaron Hawkins of Starkville, MS; brothers, Bill (Wanda) Skyles, James Skyles both of South Pittsburg and J.L. (Darlene) Skyles of Buchanon, TN; sisters, Alice (Jimmy) Pemberton of Columbus, GA, Mary Sue (Howard) Pemberton of Athens, GA, Patsy (Jay) Hutchins of Kimball, TN and Brenda Skyles of South Pittsburg; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home at 2pm Central time on Thursday, November 4, 2010 with Reverends Carlton L. Harper and Cliff Hudson officiating. Interment will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 4-8pm Central time on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.
