Mrs. Bonnie Hicks Byers Thrift, 68, of Bridgeport, AL went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 14, 2011 in Knoxville, TN.
The daughter of the late John H. and Robbie Eliza Kimsey Byers, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Madge Schaffer and Lolene Bishop and brothers, Ralph, Hoke and Lloyd Byers.
She is survived by her daughters, Sheila (John) McNeeley of Lenoir City, TN, Sharon (David) Blizard and Angela (Bryan) Grider of Bridgeport, AL; grandchildren, Travis (Kristin) Choate, Daniel Blake Choate, Patrick Mount, Logan Blizard, Krislyn Thrift and Mallory Grider; great-granddaughter, Heidi Choate; sister, Pearl Patterson of Dalton, GA; brothers, Troy (Viola) Byers and David (Connie) Byers of Columbia, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home at 2pm Central Time on Friday, March 18, 2011 with Jim Thomas & George Ables officiating. Interment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Bridgeport, AL.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, March 17, 2011 from 5-9pm Central Time and Friday from 11:30am Central time until service time at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.
