Case
May 4, 1954 – October 8, 2018
James E. "Booster" Case, 64, of Kimball, TN died Monday, October 8, 2018 in a local hospital.
A graduate of the 1972 Class of South Pittsburg High School, Booster enjoyed playing football during his high school years, especially the State Championship game of 1969. His love for the South Pittsburg Pirates would continue throughout his entire life. Go Pirates – Beat Jasper!!!
Well loved by all his co-workers, Booster was a hard-worker and enjoyed working at WestRock since 1989. He was also an avid golfer, having made his first hole-in-one in 2015 on Hole #14 at Dogwood Hills Golf Course.
He was member of Grace Baptist Church in South Pittsburg, and was preceded in death by his parents, James & Jean Brown Case, and his nephew, John Edward Guess.
A loving husband and daddy, he is survived by his wife of 32 years, Melanie Holland Case of Kimball; sons, Jeff (Summer) Case of Bridgeport, Alabama, and Andy Case (Sidney Abbott) of Kimball; grandchildren, Ellie, Carleigh, and Max Case; sister, Linda (Don) Everett, of Lewisburg, Tennessee; father and mother-in-law, Horace and Glenda Holland of Kimball; sisters-in-law, Kim Holland, Lisa Jordan, and Rebecca (Lee) Belk; nieces and nephews, Brian (Mitzi) Guess, Mike Guess, Lindsey Hutchins, Heath Belk, Lauren Belk, Shelby Jordan; great-nephews, Drake, Luke and Mack Guess; several other family members and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, central time, Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at Grace Baptist Church, South Pittsburg, with Reverend Ronnie Case and Brian Guess officiating.
Interment will follow in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens with Mike Guess, Brian Guess, Heath Belk, Lee Belk, Hal Chance, and Don Everett serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, from 3:00-8:00 pm, central time, at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg and on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, from noon until 2:00 pm, central time, at Grace Baptist Church.
