Obituary

Brenda Minervia Baker McClain, 64, a lifelong resident of Jasper, Tennessee passed away Saturday, November 18, 2006 due to a brief illness. Brenda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. Among the many hobbies she enjoyed were cross stitch, working in her yard and day trips with Mom, Dad, Sis and Brother. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She attended the Jasper Church of Nazarene. She was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Baker, brother-in-law, Bemo Bowen, special friend, Joy Guffey and grandson, Josh Southerland. Survivors include her loving husband of more than 27 years, Roy McClain, son, Barry Henderson of Lookout Valley; daughters, Sherry (Jim) Hargis, Tammy (Barry) Brooks of South Pittsburg, Kelley (Danny) Rutledge of Jasper; step-sons, Kenneth (Suzie) McClain of Lenoir City, Michael (Ginger) McClain of Kimball; step-daughter, Sharon (Alan) Wattenbarger of Cleveland; her parents, Bill and Beulah Baker of Jasper; one brother, Bill (Paula) Baker of Richmond, Virginia; one sister, Ann Bowen of Jasper; sister-in-law, Judy Baker, of Jasper; grandchildren, Danielle and Jason, Crystal and Jamie, Travis, Dusty, Wendy, Liz and Joe Dan, Bailey, Stephanie, Vanessa, Destiny, Whitney, Trinity, Tyler, Ethan, Jennifer and Adam and Daniel; great-grandchildren, Seth, Shelby, Grace and Brooks; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Nancy Smith and Faye Burnette. Funeral Services were held at 2:00 PM. CST, Monday, November 20th in the Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper with Revs. David Clay and Tommy Quick officiating. Interment was in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
