Brenda Skyles, 56, died Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Vanderbilt Medical Center.

She worked for over 30 years as a Process Improvement Consultant for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee and was a member of Richard City Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She loved cooking, crafting, University of Tennessee football, and most of all, her family.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Velma Nelson Skyles, brothers, Bobby Skyles, Paul Skyles, J.L. Skyles, and nephew, Paul Brian Skyles.

She is survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, Alice & Jimmy Pemberton of Cataula, Georgia, Mary Sue & Howard Pemberton of Athens, Tennessee, Patsy & Jay Hutchins of Kimball, Tennessee; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill & Wanda Skyles and James Skyles all of South Pittsburg, Tennessee; sisters-in-law, Darlene Skyles, Carolyn Skyles, and Shirley Skyles; nieces and nephews, Sybil, Karen, Timothy, Lisa, Jamie, Makayla, Missy, Becky, Lisa, Mary Ann, Billy Joe, Teresa, Susie, Debbie, Jamie, Danny, Donna, Michael, Angie, Amy, Cheyenne; several great-nieces and great-nephews, including Madi, Alissa, Paisley, and Pryce; and several close friends and co-workers.

Funeral services will be held at the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Central time with Rev. Cliff Hudson, officiating. Interment will be in Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball, Tennessee.

The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 12:00 Noon until service time.
