Mr. Conrad Clay "Tooter" Moss, Jr., 79, of Bridgeport, AL died Friday, January 23, 2015 in a local hospital.


The owner and operator of Moss Motor Company since 1957, he was a director and founder of 1st Bank of Marion County, served as a director of the North Alabama Electric Co-op and was a member of the Church of Christ in Bridgeport, AL.
"Tooter" loved horses and raised several World Grand Champion Spotted Horses. He was a natural born trader and collected cars, airplanes and wagons. He loved life and dearly loved his family. He was also a beloved boss to all of his employees.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Conrad Clay Moss, Sr. and Robina Garland Moss and his step-mother, Georgia Westmoreland Moss.


He is survived by his wife, Pat R. Moss of Bridgeport, AL; sons, Benny (Sandy) Moss and Scott Moss both of Bridgeport, AL, and Steve (Meghan) Moss of South Pittsburg, TN; grandchildren, Malinda Cannon of Atlanta, GA, Clay (Haven) Moss and Chelsea Moss both of Bridgeport, AL, Cameron Moss, Carter Moss and Sawyer Moss all of South Pittsburg, TN; brothers, Jerry Don (June) Moss of South Pittsburg, Mickey (Rhonda) Moss of Knoxville, TN, Denny (Jean) Moss and Randy (Karen) Moss both of South Pittsburg, and Jimmy (Pearlie) Goforth of Hazel Green, AL; step-sister, Patsy (George) Guess of Manchester, TN; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at 2pm Central time at the Church of Christ in Bridgeport, AL with Randy Smith and Danny Rader officiating. Interment will follow at Rocky Springs Cemetery in Bridgeport, AL.


The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 1-9pm Central time at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg, TN.
