Obituary

Carol Runyan Cooper, 69, of Jasper, TN, died at her home Saturday, November 2, 2013 following a lengthy battle with Parkinson's Disease. The daughter of the late A.K. and Norma Cloud Runyan, she was a retired employee of DuPont where she worked for over 36 years.
She is survived by her husband, David O. Cooper, Jr., of Jasper; a step-daughter, Teri (Greg) Peardon, of Whitwell, two step-granddaughters, Kelli Peardon of Jasper and Nichole Higdon of Chattanooga; 2 step-great-grandchildren, Luke and Lauren Higdon of Signal Mountain; three sisters, Judy Rutledge of Red Bank, Elaine (Tom) Hundley of Lake City, FL, and Anita (Tom) DeCosimo of Signal Mountain; two sisters-in-law, Judy Cooper of Whitwell and Martha Cooper of Atlanta, GA; two aunts, Jo Elliott of Jasper and Nancy Metcalf of Chattanooga; and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 4, 2013 at 3:00 Central from the Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper. Interment will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
