CAROLE JUNE DANIEL, 88 years of age, a resident of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, the 28th day of October 2026, at Ascension Living / Alexian Village.

Carole was born on the 19th of June in 1938, daughter of the late Rexel V. and Virginia (Cousin) Orr, of Parsons, West Virginia.

She is survived by her sister, Judy Orr Ingham and sister-in-law Donna Orr, of Parsons West Virginia, Daughter Karen Daniel Lee and son-in-law Danny C. Lee of Maryville, Tennessee, daughter Dr. Debbie Daniel and son-in-law Thomas LaBarge of Chattanooga, Tennessee, son Paul Edwin Daniel Jr. and daughter-in-law AnnMarie Daniel of Charlotte, North Carolina, granddaughters Patrice Daniel, Gina Daniel and her partner Christopher Maselli, grandson Captain Michael Land and his wife Marisa, and “bonus” granddaughter Meredith LaBarge.

Carole is preceded in death by her brother David J. Orr and brother-in-law Larry Ingham of Parsons, West Virginia.

Carole served her Country in the United States Air Force, joining straight out of high school – a very bold move for an eighteen-year-old woman in 1956. However, this fearless nature evident as a young woman, defined her entire life. After her Service, she eventually settled in Chattanooga, a city she adored and called home until her passing.

She graduated from Chattanooga State Community College, becoming a Certified Public Accountant while raising her young family of three children on her own. Strong determination in every aspect of her life opened many doors for her, including joining the National Print Group where she rose to a senior management position. The work ethic she carried created a love of hard work and accomplishment. These values were clearly instilled into her children.

Notably, however, Carole was not all work and no play: She enjoyed travel and the arts. After she retired, her travel adventures were numerous and far reaching. She planned her summer, year after year around the Riverbend festival, and was a regular at every Chattanooga Symphony event for many years.

Her generosity was quiet – but substantial, with consequential support of education, the arts, church and family. Carole was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Chattanooga and a member of The Rebecca Class.

The family would like to thank all the friends and neighbors who have cared about Carole through the years. More specifically, the family is grateful for the wonderful staff at Ascension Living / Alexian Village for their care, and to Carole’s “porch buddies” for their countless hours of good conversation and companionship.
