IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carolyn Pursley
Bradford
July 17, 1928 – November 28, 2008
Mrs. Carolyn Pursley Bradford, 80, of Kimball, TN, died Friday in a local nursing home. The daughter of the late Paul and Evelyn Allan Pursley, she was the widow of Clark McHenry Bradford.
A member of the Kimball Church of Christ, Mrs. Bradford was a graduate of the University of Chattanooga and had operated an Optical Therapy Clinic at Siskin Hospital for several years. She later worked for the City of Kimball as a bookkeeper for 10 years. She was a purist in regard to the proper use of the English language, a trait that fostered both admiration and aggravation among her family and friends throughout her life.
Mrs. Bradford is survived by her children Beth and Shannon Duggar and Brian C. and Vickie Bradford, her grandchildren Shannon Clark Duggar, Brian Clark Bradford II, Dallas Reid Duggar, Allan McHenry Duggar, Hunter Ethan Bradford, and Jeresha Moss, her great-grandchildren Cloe Moss and Cooper Moss, all of South Pittsburg, a brother, Paul (Doris) Pursley, and two nephews, Glenn and Greg Pursley, all of Gallatin, TN.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2008, at 2:00pm Central at the Kimball Church of Christ, with Billy Watkins officiating. Interment will be in Cumberland View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg on Saturday, November 29, from 6:00 to 9:00pm, Central time.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Kimball Church of Christ Library.
