Charles "Goodboy" Allen, Jr., 69, died Thursday, November 22, 2012 at his home.

The son of the late Charles Anderson and Grace Ann Walden Allen, he was a former player and proud supporter of South Pittsburg Pirate Football. He was a former iron worker and owned and operated the Kimball Shell for many years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Scotty and Tony Allen; sisters, Margie Stewart and Elizabeth Pittman; and brothers, James Allen and John Stewart.

He is survived by four sisters, Janie (Neil) Kirkpatrick, Annabelle Allen, Jean Murray and Linda "Cooter" (Wayne) Willis all of South Pittsburg; dear friends, Martha Peden of South Pittsburg and Josh Echegaray of Jasper; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Monday, November 26, 2012 at 1pm Central time with Rev. Jeff Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday evening from 5-8pm Central time at the funeral home.
