Charles Leonard Colvin, 76 of Bridgeport, AL passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at his home, surrounded by his family.

He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Stevenson, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Kate Colvin; brothers, JC Colvin and Roy Colvin all of Bridgeport, AL; sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Albert Haggard of Bryant, AL and sister, Lottie Jo Anderson of Candler, NC.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, JoAnn Lyda Colvin of Bridgeport; sons, Charles L. "Len" (Jackie) Colvin, Jr. of Bridgeport, LeBron (Stephanie) Colvin of South Pittsburg, TN; daughter, Linda Colvin of Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren, Jonathan (Andrea) Colvin, Haley Colvin, Dakota Fearn, Gabrielle Fearn; special great-niece, Burgandy Moss; sister, Gertie "Trudy" (Reed) Brown; sister-in-law, Lucille Colvin; brother-in-law, Lynwood Anderson; several other special nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted from First Baptist Church on Highway 117 in Stevenson on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 2PM Central Time with Brother Gary Nix officiating; eulogy by Jonathan Colvin. Interment will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, Tennessee.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, January 20, 2012 from 2-9pm Central time at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Building Fund of First Baptist Church, Stevenson, P.O. Box 553, Stevenson, AL 35772.
