Charles Edward Crouch died Saturday, January 7, 2012, at Lakeshore Heartland, Nashville, TN, after suffering a massive stroke on December 26.
He was born on September 8, 1920 in Texas to the late C. D. and Mamie McDowell Crouch. He was a gospel preacher for more than 65 years, serving churches of Christ in Alabama, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, and Tennessee. He was also a Veteran of the US Army during World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, J. D. and Brodie Crouch.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mildred Boyd Crouch; two children, Barbara (Norman) Fox of Nashville and Dave (Tammy) Crouch of Franklin, TN; six grandchildren, Tiffany and Ted Fox of Nashville, Tara Fox of Cleveland, Ohio, and Charlie, Jack, and Johnny Crouch of Franklin, TN; a number of nieces, cousins, and dear friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, January 9th from 7-9pm Central time at Rogers Funeral Home, Jasper, TN.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Tuesday at 10 AM Central with Paul Vaughn officiating. Interment will be in Cumberland View Cemetery, Kimball, TN.
