Charles Kenneth Dalton, 86, of Whitwell, TN passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023 with his loving family by his side.

Charles retired from Widows Creek Steam Plant as a machinist.  He was a member and Deacon of Baptist Hill Church and a member of the Olive Branch Lodge of Jasper.

He enjoyed camping, singing, and talking with people and working at the church. He was a loving father, and papa.  His extended family loved calling him Big Daddy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Belk Dalton, daughter, Janice Yvonne Adkins, daughter-in-law, Tina D. Dalton; granddaughter, Christin Nicole Dalton; parents, Jack and Bertha Culpeper Dalton; five brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife Della Hatfield Dalton, children, Mike Dalton, Don (Angie) Dalton; eight Grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren; extended family, Billie and Roger Dickson and their children, sister-in-law, Polly Taylor, sister, Barbara Belk; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. (CDT) in the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Sellers and Bro. Roger Webb officiating.

Interment will follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Jasper, Tennessee.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (CDT) prior to the funeral service in the Jasper chapel.

Pallbearers will be Shawn Dalton, Zack Dalton, Brandon Dalton, Derek Adkins, Mark Johnson, and Roger Dickson.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Baptist Hill Church Childrens Fund, 1094 Ra Griffith Hwy, Jasper, Tennessee 37347 or Hearth Hospice.
