Stella Christine Scharer Young, 96, of South Pittsburg, TN, died Saturday at a local hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Franklin Walter and Vesta Knott Scharer, and was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Young.
Mrs. Young was a member of the Stevenson Advent Christian Church and was a former employee of the Browning Hosiery Mill.
She is survived by her son, Wade Young of South Pittsburg, three grandsons, Glen, Bill, and Kevin Young, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 15, at 2:00pm in the chapel of Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg. Interment will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00pm on Sunday, June 14, at Rogers Funeral Home.
