June 4, 1928 – July 17, 2010
Dan Ross Ridley, 82, of Jasper Tennessee, went to be with Bobbie Jean on Saturday, July 17, 2010 after a long illness. He was preceded by his beloved wife of 53 years (Bobbie Jean Parker Ridley); his parents, Marion Lester and Mary Margaret Ridley; and his brother, Marion Talley Ridley.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Christopher D. And Lisa H. Ridley of Jasper; his brother Billy Joe (Bonnie) Ridley of Jasper, his sister Betty (Paul) Neely of Monticello, Kentucky; his grandchildren Stephanie Ridley of Chattanooga and Chris Ridley of Ft Oglethorpe; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
A long time resident of Jasper, Mr. Ridley was a prominent local businessman, a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Jasper, a Marine and veteran of the Korean Conflict, and a member of Olive Branch Masonic Lodge in Jasper.
A graveside service at Pine Grove Cemetery in Jasper will be held this morning at 11am Central Time, with a visitation at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper from 10am - 11am Central Time.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, or the Mary Ellen Locher Breast Cancer Center at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
