Danita Lorriane Mitchell (Baker), 51, of South Pittsburg, TN, died Sunday, February 15, 2015 at her home.

The daughter of the late Charles Franklin and Ella Frances Silmon Mitchell, she was a native of South Pittsburg, a member of Mt. Bethlehem Baptist Church and a graduate of Bridgeport High School. She was a career caregiver. She was also preceded in death by a grandchild, A'Kera Stevens and former husband, Willie James Baker, Jr.


She is survived by her children, Dr. Rochanda Mitchell of Suitland, MD and Antuan Stevens of South Pittsburg, TN; sister, Patricia Ann Wilson of South Pittsburg; brothers, Charles Douglas Mitchell, Donald Mitchell and Brandon Mitchell of all Cleveland, OH, Michael Robinson and Rev. Paul Robinson, both of South Pittsburg, TN; grandchildren, Alivia, Aniston, Garry, Makenzie, Ayrika and Bryson; and "special son," Quannan Hutchinson.


The family will receive friends for visitation at Mt. Bethlehem Baptist Church in South Pittsburg on Saturday, February 21, from 12 noon until 1 PM Central time.


Funeral services will be held at the church on Saturday, February 21st at 1:00 PM Central time with Rev. Larry Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Gaines Chapel Cemetery.
