With a heavy heart the family is sharing the passing of Danny Aaron Peoples, age 67, of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, Thursday, November 20th, 2025, of New Hope, Tennessee.
He was born on a Tuesday, February 25, 1958, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, a son of the late Squire Wallace (Watchie) Peoples and Anna Jo Peoples. The impact of his passing has been emotionally devastating leaving our hearts shattered. Like all who experience loss we are overwhelmed by grief.
Danny proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 22 years in both Active-Duty Air Force and the Air National Guard and a recent retiree from the Defense Logistics Agency. He enjoyed boating, water skiing, fishing, hiking, golf, and, most importantly, sharing time with his family and friends.
Danny, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather is survived by his wife of 38 years, Shirley; his three unwavering and loving sons, Lucas Peoples of Missouri, Jacob Peoples and Dakota Peoples of Tennessee; one grandson, Oliver Peoples who resides in Sweden; one surviving Aunt, Shirley Campbell; brothers, Wallace Peoples (Tywana) and Tony Peoples (Linda), a niece Amanda; and numerous cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. (CST) prior to the funeral service in the chapel.
Funeral Services will be held for family and friends on Tuesday, November 25th, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. (CST) at the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home, 400 Laurel Avenue, South Pittsburg, Tennessee, 37380, with Brother Robert Caudill officiating.
Burial will be for immediate family only at a later date in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Family request in lieu of flowers send donations to The American Wounded Warrior Fund or Saint Judes Children's Research Hospital.
Arrangements are entrusted to Rogers Funeral Home, 400 Laurel Ave, South Pittsburg, Tennessee, 37380.
