Mr. David Hardy, 99, of Sequatchie, TN, died Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at a local hospital. The son of the late James Henry and Anna Mosley Hardy, he was a member of Sequatchie Baptist Church and was a retired supervisor with Sequatchie Handle Works. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Hardy, two sons, Richard "Dick" Hardy and Dennis Hardy and a great-grandchild, Joshua Clayton Hardy. He is survived by his children, Ernest Hardy, and Eva Ladd both of Sequatchie and Phyllis Robinson, of Mt. Vernon, Indiana; ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Homer P. Hardy of Hixson, one sister, Ruth Layne, of Powells Crossroads and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 4, 2006 at 2:00 PM CST at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper with Rev. Wayne Bowman and Rev. Philip Layne officiating. Interment will be in Lasaster Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-9 PM CST on Friday, March 3, 2006 at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper.
