DAVID JOYNER
David Raymond "D.R." Joyner, 81, of South Pittsburg, died Thursday, October 16, 2008 at a local nursing home.
The South Pittsburg High School graduate served in the Air Force during the Korean War and worked as a manager with the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
David was preceded in death by his parents, James Raymond and Lydia Mae Shubirg Joyner.
He is survived by his brother, Tommy (Fannie Lee) Joyner of Hixson, TN; and sister Mary Jane (Jere Raymond) Brown of South Pittsburg, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted from the graveside of Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball, TN on Saturday, October 18th at 11am CST, with ministers James Warren and Billy Watkins officiating. Interment will immediately follow.
