David York, 59, of South Pittsburg, Tennessee died Thursday, September 29, 2016 at his home after several years of illness.

The son of the late James Haskell York and Donna Mae Rowalt York, he was a former employee of US Stove in Bridgeport, Alabama and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Sue York of South Pittsburg; brothers, Brad York of Bucyrus, Ohio, Donald York of Marion, Ohio and Mark York of Bucyrus, Ohio; sisters, Cynthia Brown of Lavista, Nebraska and Laura York of Bucyrus, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted from the graveside at New Hope Cemetery at 3:00 pm Central time on Saturday, October 1, 2016 with Rev. Joe Moore officiating.

The family will receive friends for visitation at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg, Tennessee on Friday, September 30, 2016 from 5-8pm Central time and on Saturday from 12noon until service time.
