Delores Barnett Massey, 85, of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, died Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her family.

The daughter of the late Homer and Dovie Higgenbotham Barnett, she was the owner/operator of Marilyn's Beauty Shop, and attended Fairview Union Church in Victoria, Tennessee. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Harold Massey; brothers, Homer Neil, Jimmy, and Mitchell Barnett; and sister, Linda White.

She is survived by her children, Marilyn Massey (Skip) Pilgrim, of Jasper, Tennessee, Harold "Butch" (Denise) Massey, of Whitwell, Tennessee, Mike (Heidi) Massey, and Richard "Rat" (Jackie) Massey both of South Pittsburg; grandchildren, Wade Allen, Kevin "Buster" Allen, David (Kim) Massey, Heather Pilgrim Hood, Miranda Massey (Jeff) Hambrick, Adam Massey, Shaina Massey, Seth Massey, and Jake Massey; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Holland (Faye) Barnett, Richard (Nancy) Barnett, and Don Barnett; sister, Reba Reed; sister-in-law, RoseMary Barnett; several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice of Chattanooga, and Mrs. Massey's caregivers, Donna Kilgore, Hailey Anderson, and Linda Decker.

Funeral services will be held at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg, Tennessee, on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Central time, with Rev. Roger Webb, officiating. Interment will follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, Tennessee.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, April 26th, from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Central time at the funeral home.
