Mrs. Dolores E. "Lorrie" Brown, age 81, went to be with her Lord & Savior on Friday evening, November 12, 2010 from South Pittsburg, Tennessee. She was born on February 11, 1929 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to James & Reva (Weed) Nielsen. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Fremont. On June 16, 1950 she married Rev. Andrew B. Brown and together they worked for Continental Baptist Missions beginning in 1953. They completed their ministry in the Petosky area in 1991. Lorrie was preceded in death by her husband on December 7, 1995. She was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Virginia Klomparens and Carrie Rettinhouse.
Survivors include 3 children: Jan (Bill) Hoch of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, Jim (Carolyn) Brown of Fremont, Jon Brown of Kentwood; 6 grandchildren: Kimberley (Joe) Kuptz, Shannon (Don) DeBuske, Andy Brown, Zara Hoch, Lynsey Brown, & Heather Brown; 3 great grandchildren: Jakob, Kathryn, & Lillian Kuptz; 2 sisters: Ann Seelman of Muskegon, Ruth (Paul) Messer of Jenison; and many nices & nephews.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 19, 2010 at First Baptist Church in Fremont (51 W. Oak Street) with Pastor Doug Wasson officiating. Interment will be in Jewell Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home from 6-8 PM on Thursday.
