Donald Marion Gonce, 70, of South Pittsburg, TN, died Tuesday at his home.
The son of the late Marion Albert Gonce, he was a lifelong farmer, a member of the Farmers Co-op, a former member of the Square Dance Club, a former Jaycee, and a communicant of Christ Episcopal Church. Donald loved to hunt, fish, ride horses, and hunt for arrowheads and other relics. He is survived by his mother, Bertha Gonce of South Pittsburg, two daughters, Donna (Thomas R.) Lawson of Bridgeport, AL, and Deena (Jere) Brown of South Pittsburg, one son, Mike (Jackie) Gonce of South Pittsburg, two sisters, Barbara (Jerry) Clepper of South Pittsburg and Carolyn (Wayne) LeRoy of Nashville, TN, three grandchildren, Thomas Kyle Lawson, Tiffany Brown, and Jake Brown, and a good friend, Mike Russell.
The visitation will be at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg on Thursday, October 9th from 5pm to 9pm. The funeral will be at 10:30am on Friday, October 10th at Christ Episcopal Church in South Pittsburg, with Reverend Stephen Eichler officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga.
