Dorothy Hardy

Dorothy Lewis Hardy, a life-time resident of Jasper, TN passed away peacefully on February 26, 2021 at the age of 90 years old.

She was born on December 7, 1930 to Harley H. Lewis and Ruth Brewer Lewis.

Mrs. Hardy, fondly known as Mrs. Dot was a long- time member of Jasper First Baptist Church where she taught the 3 years old Sunday school class for over 40 years.  Dorothy was a faithful employee of the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service for the Federal Government for 50 years.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Harley H. Lewis and Ruth Brewer Lewis; husband, D.C. Hardy; brother, Harley Jr.; sisters, Juanita and Nancy.

She is survived by her son, Gary D. (Suzie) Hardy; grandchildren, Brynna (Dennis) Hamilton, Keri (Jeremiah) Catlett, and Braden Hardy; 5 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. (CST) at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Pastor Greg Steele officiating.

The family will not have public visitation due to COVID – 19.

All family and friends are welcome to attend the graveside service. Please wear mask to the graveside service.

In lieu of flowers the family requested that donations be made to the Jasper First Baptist Church Children's Ministry.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at NHC Sequatchie for their exceptional care over the years. All so a special thank you to Hearth Hospice for their compassionate care.
