Dorothy Louise Hicks, 83, of Chattanooga, formerly of South Pittsburg, died at her home Thursday, June 22, 2006.Dorothy, a well known local real estate agent was a long time resident of Chattanooga and was employed by the Fletcher Bright Realty Company. She had served in many different positions in Real Estate, and originally was instrumental in developing the multiple listing service. Another position she held was Executive Director of the Tennessee Real Estate Commission. She was the First Executive Officer of the Chattanooga Board of Realtors.She served as Chairman of the Board for Erlanger Hospital for several years.She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Hicks and her parents, Jeff and Vesta Payne of South Pittsburg.She is survived by three brothers, Robert Payne of Huntsville, AL, William Payne of Jellico, TN, James A. Payne of Chattanooga, sisters, Virginia Hargrove of Bossier City, LA, Gladys Frye of Murfreesboro, TN. She was the beloved Aunt of sixteen nephews and nieces as well as numerous great nephews and nieces.Funeral services will be conducted from the Chapel of Rogers Funeral Homes in South Pittsburg, Monday, June 26 at 11:00 A.M., CDT, with Rev. Charlie Campbell officiating.
