Dorothy Jean Shrum Martin, 83, Lifelong resident of South Pittsburg, TN, went home to be with Jesus and loved ones in Heaven on August 28, 2022 at home with her loving family by her side.

She was of the Baptist faith.

Dorothy retired from the State of Tennessee.  She loved to sew and play cards, cook, and enjoyed being with her family.  She was known for her loving kindness and passionate spirit.  She loved her special home in Sebring, FL, that she spent most of her time there in the last few years. She was married to the love of her life David T. Martin, Sr. for 34 years and Horace Cline for 5 years, loving friend John L. Kennemore for 12 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave T.  Martin, Sr.; Parents, Marion Shrum and Equilla Bivens Shrum; sister, Rosie Shrum, Ester Shrum Wood, Argie Shrum Moore; daughter, Laura Stewart

Survivors include her daughter, Mary  "Kathy: Martin Smith (David), sons, David T. Martin, Jr, (Lisa);  grandchildren, Chris Martin (Amber) , Brian Stewart (Deanna), Lane Smith, Jake Martin (Riley), Austin Martin (Brittany), Amanda Balleza (Martin),  Kimberly (Marty) Lovelace; great grandchildren, Cody Francisco (Katlyn), Katie Francisco  Cataleya Balleza, Katia Balleza, Khloe Hundley, Courtney Martin, Justin Martin, Addison Martin, Cansas Stewart; Borthers, Paul (Gearldean) Shrum, Sam (Murl) Shrum; sisters, Mary Hartline, Naomi Hall, Katherine Wood, Lois Doss, Rebecca (Mike) Bell and several nieces and nephews and special friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. (CST) in the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home with Norman Payne officiating.

Dorothy will be laid to rest with her husband Dave T.  Martin, Sr. at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. (CST) and on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service in the chapel.

Pallbearers will be Justin Martin, Mike Adams, Casey Shrum, Mike Hartline, John Shrum, and Wayne Myers.

Honorary Pallbearer, Cliff Hall, Benton Martin.
