Dorothy Blevins Peoples, 88, of New Hope, Tennessee, died Monday, October 8, 2012. The daughter of the late Joseph Benjamin and Emmaline Massengale Blevins, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Vince Peoples. A member of Kimball Baptist Church, she was a loving housewife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Dean (Wilma) Peoples, of New Hope, Jimmy Dale (Carolyn) Peoples, of Conley, GA and Teresa (Charlie) McClain of New Hope; grandchildren, Robert (Robin) McClain, Vince Peoples, Tammy (Rocky) Sutherland, Dale (Shea) Peoples, Jamie (Adam) Stovall and Ashley Peoples; 20 great-grandchildren; sisters, Isabelle Durham and Pat Keef, a brother, Gordon Blevins and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 10th at 2:00 PM, CST with Rev. Troy Luttrell officiating. Interment will be in New Hope Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 9, at the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home from 3-9 PM CST.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Kimball Baptist Church Building Fund.
