Dorothy "Dot" Woodfin, went to be with Our Heavenly Father on Thursday, November 14, 2013.
She was born to the late Ike and Pearl Lambert on October 14, 1921 and was 92 years old. She was a longtime resident of the Sweetens Cove Community in South Pittsburg, TN. A LPN at South Pittsburg Hospital's Clinic for many years, she was also a member of the Home Demonstration Club and enjoyed attending Wesley United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Austin; granddaughter, Tammy Knight; daughter-in-law, Carol Woodfin, as well as other family members.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are son, Steve Woodfin; grandchildren, Larry Woodfin, Leslie (Stephen) Worthy, Stephanie (Ruben) Prince, and Flint Woodfin; great-grandchildren, Brianna (Stanton) Gilliam, Austin Woodfin, Anna Worthy, Maggie and Mason Prince, Luke and Hope Woodfin; and sister-in-law, Mary Lambert.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, November 15, 2013 from 5-7pm Central time at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg, TN.
Funeral services will be conducted at Christ Church Episcopal in South Pittsburg on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 12 Noon Central time with the Rev. Kim Hobby officiating. Interment will follow at Beene-Raulston Cemetery, 7783 Sweetens Cove Road, South Pittsburg, TN.
