Dorris Marie Chumbler Kilgore, 91, of South Pittsburg, Tennessee died Monday, May 4, 2015.


The daughter of the late Ray H. and Bonnie English Chumbler, she was a member of Kimball Baptist Church for over 38 years and was a former employee of South Pittsburg Municipal Hospital and Rivermont Nursing Home. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for many years.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Velton "Red" Kilgore, son, John David Kilgore, two brothers, Raymond and Roy Chumbler and a sister, Betty Hennings.


She is survived by her children, Bonnie L. Keen of South Pittsburg, Robert Kilgore of Memphis, Michigan, Dennis Kilgore of Emmett, Michigan, Douglas Kilgore of Clarkston, Michigan; thirteen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.


Funeral services will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home at 11:00 am Central time on Thursday, May 7, 2015 with Rev. Norman Payne and Rev. Ronnie Case officiating.


The family will receive friends for visitation from 5-8 pm Central time on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at the funeral home.
